What a great weekend, nice and quiet! Devan, Donald and I are feeling ourselves again. MawMaw still has a little bit of the sniffles, but she is much better also. It is amazing that we kept Sidney from getting it, we were very, very careful about going around her. Everyone wore a mask and washed our hands more than usual.

Sidney and MawMaw spent the night with Aunt Kristi and Uncle Craig Saturday night. Sidney has always had a special closeness with Kristi, Kristi is her 2nd mother! Kristi made spaghetti for Sidney, one of Sidney's favorite foods that Kristi cooks. She laid in their bed with "Odi and Sophie", their blonde retrievers. They both shared a lot of love with Sidney. Odi stayed by her side the entire time she was visiting, he even layed at Sidney's feet when she went to pottie. Kristi said it was hilarious to watch him. I would love to see Kristi and Craig get him certified with Happy Tails and be able to share all that love with the other children at CHOA. Sophie would be great also, if she could control that longgg tongue of hers. :) Sidney always enjoyed the visits with the Happy Tail dogs, they gave love and didn't expect anything in return. She wasn't able to rub or even speak to them, but somehow they sensed her sickness and would lick her hands or just lay beside her.

Craig was sweet enough, and strong enough to carry Sidney upstairs to see baby Maren's room. Craig and Kristi are expecting a baby girl January 10th. We are all very excited for them and can't wait to see the little bundle of joy.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and we have so much to be thankful for! God has blessed our family and we Praise our Lord for each and every blessing He has bestowed upon us. It will soon be the "One year" anniversary for Sidney's diagnosis, November 27th. Praise the Lord we can celebrate this anniversary and the journey Sidney has taken. We are thankful for everyone that has touched our lives, prayed with us and for us and encouraged us during this time. We are thankful for all of the lives she has touched during this journey as well. We have complete Faith in our Lord and know that He is and has always been in control. We layed Sidney's life at His feet and are accepting of whatever choices He makes for her life. We believe that when He chose to keep Sidney on this earth December 10th, that He has a very special plan for her life and that she will have an amazing testimony to share with others. We have had a few bumps in the road along the journey, however each bump taught us or reminded us of how blessed we are.
