I forgot to mention in my last entry - Bailey was VERY jaundiced after each chemo treatment, for weeks. And with each chemo treatment her bilirubin went higher and higher and her Albumin lower and lower. Her bili was as high as 17.3 at one time, and that was after her last session pre-translant. We were told by our primary doctor that it still wasn't worrisome because she had a record of it coming down all on it's own, with or without the drug she took to help it come down. Just thought I'd pass that on. We continue to pray for Leah and for Brianna also.

I came across your website the other day and Leah's name especially caught my eye since we also have a Leah who is 4 years old. Leah was dx Nov. 2001, relapsed in May 2003 and had a bone marrow transplant Nov.3, 2003. I have been so blessed reading your journal entries and seeing how much we have in common, not just a daughter named Leah, but our faith in Christ and His strength to carry us in this journey. Hi Dixon family.

I'm glad to hear Leah is doing well. We do pray for you guys every night - prayers that the side effects of the medications will subside and that you can settle into somewhat of a "normal" routine. We will continue to pray for your entire family. Tell Leah that Bridget feels the same way - she is soooo isolated from her friends and we will pray a good friend comes for you too. I'm glad to hear a friend has come for your brother. I am sure he feels very isolated as well.

Just wanted to tell you that you are one courageous girl!!!

I have had cancer twice as an adult and found it very hard to do. I don't think I could have done it if i was young like you. I hope you can give yourself a huge pat on the back for your inner strength.

I admire you very much. If you have made it to maintenance, you can do anything!! (Although it may not feel that way right now.)

Hope things are going well for you at the moment. And if not, its okay to feel mad, or sad, or hate the treatments, or feel cranky, or whatever you are feeling---its all normal.
